Stroller Strides is a total fitness program that moms can do with their children in tow. It includes power walking and intervals of strength and body toning exercises using exercise tubing, the stroller and the environment. Taught by certified and specially trained fitness instructors, it is a great workout for any level of exerciser. Stroller Strides instructors weave songs and activities into the routine designed to entertain and engage baby, while moms are led through a series of exercises specific to her role as mom.
Our Stroller Strides classes are designed for women who are currently pregnant as well as moms of stroller aged children. For our pregnant moms, regular activity can help to reduce many maternal aches and pains, increase energy during pregnancy and may speed the labor, delivery and recovery process. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), exercise is just as important during pregnancy as any other time of life. We encourage each member of any FIT4MOM® program to seek a physician's approval before starting any exercise program.
In recent months our classes have grown and you may have noticed our group on city streets! We are ensuring that all clients will stay on the sidewalk and stay aware of driveway spaces. Please stop to say hello and encourage our mamas as they make the journey towards fitness for life!
